We’re doing Thanksgiving a little different this year…well, I’m not sure we’ve ever done it “the same”.
Tomorrow we’re headed on a family adventure since our big Thanksgiving feast will be on Saturday. On Friday we’ll help my parents with a project and then come home to cook up our portion of the feast. This year I’m fixing gluten-free stuffing (it was sooooo yummy last year!), chocolate pumpkin bread, and 100-calorie pumpkin tarts.
I always love Thanksgiving. Perhaps it is my favorite holiday…I can never decide. I do like the time to reflect on the year and on the things we are grateful for. I have too many to name. One of them being that many of you check our blog even though I am horrible at posting
Tonight as I tucked the boys into bed I reminded them of why we celebrate Thanksgiving. And then I asked them what they are thankful for:
Will: “I’m thankful for burrito quesadillas. And tacos. And green beans.”
Walker: “Legos, I’m only grateful for Legos. Becaaaause youuu won’t let meeeee have anything elseeeee*”.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I love what each of you bring into our life, near and far.
*yes, those are sobs.
