I Spy: Dishwasher Edition
Posted on Thursday, June 25th, 2009 at 6:56 pmWhen Daddy’s away, the Mom MUST play!
It’s hard for me to cook daily. Period. But I do it. And I’ve gotten better with planning.
But when Eric is gone for work the last thing on my mind is cooking dinner.
The proof is in, well the dishwasher. Here it is after two days:

Can you spy…
…the cups I use for my morning Instant Breakfast?
…every single plate we own for the boys, including the newest bug additions from Steph?
…only one mixing bowl, used for pancakes?
…the apple slicer I’ve put in and then pulled back out multiple times in two days?
…one bowl, used for my dinner of Go Lean Crunch last night?
…the missing activity from our rockin’ Cool Summer Days calendar? Any guesses at to what it was?
…any pots? Any pans? Really, can you find anything that indicates cooking?
I can sooo relate to this. I actually enjoy cooking, but not as much when there is no other adult present to appreciate my efforts/help wash the dishes. I’m impressed you even did pancakes!
Ha! This cracks me up. The sad part is, I do that now, even when Jason is at home! I was so much better and making dinner when he was gone at school all the time…hm…doesn’t make much sense, but there you have it!
I do the same when Sean is gone. What’s the point in cooking when there is no one else around to enjoy it? Bring on the cereal and bp & j!
Ha ha, I’m the same way!
Do you have an entry for my challenge? I’m about to put up the carnival. Thanks!
Jen
I love that. I also hate to cook when Jon’s gone – I use it as a break. I laughed out loud at the taking the apple slicer out multiple times – that’s funny.
